Sam Houston Mug

Now this is a statue! This is a pic of me and a co worker on my last day of work. The 67 ft tall statue is the worlds tallest statue of an American hero. Sent from my iphone. Check out this link from the HuntsvilleVisitors Guide to get more info about this dudes History.

I really like this mug its not only cool looking but it will always remind of my time in Hunstville and all the fun I had with my co workers. If your ever driving down 45 to or from Houston be sure to stop by the visitors center located behind the statue and take some pictures!

Texan or Not- These Mugs Rock!

Well the time came for the project job that I was on came to an end, sad I have to say, because I truly enjoyed working with all the ladies in the Huntsville office. So, my new job has landed me in none other than downtown "Houston". Of all my years of working and living in Texas I have never worked in the big city. First time to be in one of their skyline buildings and its a little nerving as I don't really like heights, but as long as I'm not looking out one of the windows, I'm OK. I have heard about the tunnels underneath the city before and now I've had the chance to actually visit the underground mall (that's just what call it) and all I can say is wow! Check it out if your ever in downtown Houston. Its not open on the weekends as its primarily open for the business people downtown and has limited day hours during the week. The Houston Tunnels are connected for miles even to the parking garages, so if it rains...no worries.

Talk about excitement, these people love their football team: The Houston Texan's. I am showing one of the Texan mugs from my "Mugs and More" Store because its unique and I know all the guys will love them, and of course the gals too. The team is doing great and I'm proud to be one of their fans!

They Protect- They Serve- We give a big coffee "cheers"

Can you guess where this Mug came from? No, not the Army. While I was  working/traveling around in Oklahoma I spotted this Mug dining at a restaurant. Saw it a few times and then suddenly I was drawn to it. It reminded me of all the men and women in our military fighting for our freedom. At that moment I felt deeply moved and appreciative for all the men and women putting their lives in a vulnerable place knowing that any situation could arise. I just couldn't resist it, this mug jumped on me. So, if you're reading this and ever been in our Military or there now, well, it goes without saying..Thank You!  :)
My late husband was in the Army and now my son is thinking about going too. Just seeing the passion my husband had about giving himself to protect and serve our country is the greatest thing ever! So big thumbs up to Cracker Barrel restaurant for having them in their country store, and if you're close to one of their restaurants then maybe you can pick one up too and say "cheers" to our service men.
